Access Rights

Many ATLAS pages at CERN are now protected. You can access most of them with your CERN SSO credentials, as long as the e-mail address associated with your SSO is the same one that is in the ATLAS database. It will be the one atlas-gen mailings come to. If the e-mail is a CERN GEM ( Your.Name@cern.ch) you may need to check and make sure that the PEM associated with it is the one you actually use.

ATLAS-Canada agendas are usually protected in a similar way, but there is a catch: they are accessible to anyone who is on the atlas-canada-gen mailing list. If you are on atlas-gen as Your.Name@cern.ch, and the PEM is set to your CERN Mailserv account, but you are on the ATLAS-Canada list as yourotherlogon@canadianuniversity.ca, you won't be able to access the agendas. In that case, you should add Your.Name@cern.ch to the atlas-canada-gen list (Members tab, "add me as a member").

There are several possible permutations. The simplest thing if you don't care about maintaining a physical mailbox at CERN is to set your PEM to the mail address you actually use ( yourotherlogon@canadianuniversity.ca).

Bottom line: you need valid ATLAS credentials linked to a CERN SSO to see even some Canadian ATLAS material. You should try to use the same e-mail address that is in the ATLAS database for all your e-group subscriptions.
