How to install AFS

Preferably, AFS should be installed when the OS was installed; however if this was overlooked, these are the steps to install it.

Login as root and install Openafs and the appropriate kernel version as follows:

yum install openafs kernel-module-openafs-`uname -r`

Then set the primary cell

echo "cern.ch" >> /usr/vice/etc/ThisCell

And set it to start on boot

chkconfig afs on

Then reboot.
